Mr. Roache has over 14 years of experience with electrical and industrial controls projects, including PLC and HMI programming. He services and maintains SCADA contracts for the controls systems group. He is a licensed water operator in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Work experience

      · At EIS, Mr. Roache is actively involved in servicing SCADA systems in the Municipal and Private Water and Wastewater Industry in New England. Providing services such as programming HMI and PLC systems, system backups, streamlining, troubleshooting and supplying education and training to the end user. Clients include;

        · Town of Concord, MA; A Water/Wastewater System comprised of remote well sites utilizing chemical treatment and wastewater lift/pump stations. This utility has been a model in trying to perfect their Allen Bradley SLC 500 SCADA system. Utilizing our services to refine how their system operates. Services included are scheduled backups, additions and changes to the SCADA system and operator training.

        · Town of Acton, MA; A Wastewater system including a .5 MGD Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) treatment plant and 10 pump stations. SCADA system is an Allen Bradley based SLC 500 system communicating via a fiber optic Ethernet. Services include starting up a fiber optic communications loop integrating 8 stations into their main treatment plant, upgrading an HMI node from a standard PC to a Server Class Node, scheduled backups, troubleshooting and streamlining.

        · City of Lynn, MA: A Wastewater system incorporating a 25.8 MGD treatment facility and 14 pump stations. The controls system utilizes Allen Bradley PLCs and a Cisco wireless Ethernet network to perform communications and control. Services include assisting with startup of a system wide upgrade from a proprietary control system to a PLC based control system.

        · City of Dover, NH; A Water/Wastewater System comprised of 2 water treatment facilities utilizing physical and chemical treatment, 4 remote well sites utilizing chemical treatment and 2 water storage facilities and a wastewater treatment facility with 20 remote lift/pump stations. An Allen Bradley PLC based system also resides here utilizing radio telemetry for communications with remotes. Services included are scheduled backups, additions and changes to the SCADA system and operator training.

        · Old Orchard Beach, ME; Warren, ME; Ashland, MA; Burlington, MA; Full system SCADA assessments on existing systems defining strengths and deficiencies and expressing detailed recommendations providing a ‘road map’ to guide future integrations.

      · CRJ Water Works Pro - Owned and operated a small business in the market of the Water and Wastewater Industry in New England providing operator services and servicing technical equipment such as computerized control systems and chemical feed systems.

      · Waterline Services, LLC - Responsibilities included Operator Services of small public and private water systems in New England which encompassed water testing, system operation, system startups, and in some instances pilot operations. Also included were project organization, installation, and startup of water pumping systems, and chemical feed systems.

      · City of Taunton, MA - Responsibilities included operation of a 12MGD conventional surface water treatment plant, assuring safe potable water for the public, and assisting in managing a staff consisting of twelve (12) employees. Assumed full responsibility in the absence of the Chief Operator. Worked in conjunction with operators setting guidelines and parameters. Oversaw all reservoirs, tanks and booster stations. Assigned work orders to personnel. Involved with planning improvements and upgrades. Wrote bid specifications and quotes for all aspects of the facility. Maintained and troubleshot systems such as PC’s and PLC’s with brand names such as Allen Bradley, Rockwell Automation, Intellution (GE Fanuc). Integrated with and maintained vintage systems such as the Foxboro brand Spec 200 system and Modicon PLC. Also, various types of transmitters, analytical equipment, pumps, motors, motor drives, mechanical systems, and chemical feed systems were supported. Distribution and watershed maintenance.

      · North Raynham, MA Water District - Responsibilities included working closely with the Superintendent of the Water District. Working knowledge of wells and well fields, distribution systems, pumps, motors and drives, chemical feed systems, transmitting, sensing and analytical electronics.
